Are we meeting up at Durham services again on Sun morning?
Yeah cool with me!! Say 8.00 - 8.15?
The van wont be making an appearance on sun, either the clutch or gearbox has failed whilst tuning tonight. Jessop may be bringing the saxo to take its place.
Gtt is running mint though touch wood
Hopefully il be able to make it for about 12ish if that isnt too late to arrive? It just im out round st helens tomorow so will need to take it easy on the alcohol and make sure its totally out of my system before i set off.Was a good day last time and think this time will be even better but its a shame my car isnt going on again with it being broke
Last time was a sensible driver over in convoy with dave from sbs in very icey conditions
Well havent even been near my 5 today as ive been modifying a fekin saab turbo to bolt to jont mouths car. Eventually got it on but the oil return is leaking and the lowest i can get the boost down is 19psi!! Its dark and cold and i'm off to bed. The joys of a c1j.
Matt know how you feel buddy, I finished rebuilding my car at half nine after its gear box chance.
A big thanks to Ashy for supplying me with a couple of gear box bolts after I misplaced mine.
Oh well see everyone in the morn
Good luck guys tomorrow and do not forget to take the video camera and post it up on here.

Great to meet up with folk again
Cheers for organising Dave.
How did Andy, Dan & Jaffa's motors get on?
Scoff- Stunning stuff
Sloped off early to deal with a **** load of work, gotta earn some pennies to pay for tweetie to grow some wings me thinks
Yeah great day as always!!
Big thanks to Bob the AA man who turned up to fix my 5 for me but didn't even bother getting his tools out after a quick assesment of the situation.
Happy with ny figure of 257bhp... Thanks for the lunch Matt, very tasty butty and the chocolate cake was awesome
Scoff your car nearly made my ears bleed
Tested the ECU when I got back and its fair to say its fried, looking forward to seeing the DVD!!
Ashy (AKA Rats-nest Tuning)
So it got back in one piece
Awesome day, just awesome!! The 5 did me proud with a cool 251.8 bhp and 257 lbft of torque!(max torque at 3224 rpm). Max power was at 6500 rpm were my limiter was set to and it was still making power!! (Mr Ash forgot to mention that!!) A bit more boost and it would of done the job i think!! Thanks to Dave SBS for organising the day and Motorscope for as always the hospitality. Best of all as always the top top people from the club who made it the day it was.
Very chuffed!
ashy, johnny got some really good footage of it on the rollers.. the turbo looked rather warm !
Aye crackin day like
What do you do with them pfc sheets we filled in?
if you could pm me the details you wrote down and i will make a record of everyones figures and send them down to pfc
Sound, found it stuffed under my seat,it'll have been those pesky Cole brothers!!!

Here's some of the pics taken from today, just a select few good ones.
There are of course more but i'll put them on here when i have more time ^_^
Hope to see some of you at Oulton Park on the 13th Nov if i can get time off work!
jessop, great pictures
thanks to miller too for the drive in emma's lpg car, first lpg car I've driven. if only all gtt's where as responsive as that.
Cheers for a top day lads, nice to put names to faces. Some real nice cars.
Had a moment of realisation on the way home, noticed my extra thick super plush car matts were jammed under my throttle (between the pedal and the stop) causing me to lose at least 10mm of pedal travel, so even happier that I made 258 on 90% throttle Ha Ha Ha
Glad your getting sorted Ashy at least with it happening this late in the year you could maybe embark on a winter rebuild/rewire and get it all prepped for next year.
You'll have to post the flame on vid up when you get it.
Looking forward to next years wonder who'll be buying lunch though?
Some good vids and pics there.
Steve
Had awesome day roll on the next one
What a cracking day, thanks Dave for organising it
I got home about 9:30 after stopping off at Dave's for an hour or so. I was well chuffed with the results for Emma's LPG car, it made 186 bhp and 162 lb.ft at 16psi it makes all the work worth it
When i got in, i had a look through my data log and as we all suspected the boost reading was 3psi high.
I will add my power graph tomorrow when i get home from work
It was good to see everyone again and i am looking forward to the next event in......2010 for me
Chris
And Scoff any time mate, if you want you could run it up pod next year.....show us how its done
My manifold looks very worrying in that pic!
Graph for all to view.
The T2's graph
