Is there a gasket in the down pipe?

    Hi,

Is there a gasket between the elbow and the down pipe? I've tightened mine up as the spring bolts were loose, but it still seams to be leaking.

The garage told me to get a new gasket, but went to car spares today and they showed me that there system showed no gasket in that location.

Is this right, if so how can i stop the leak?

    Thanks

Hi, when tighten the spring bolts make sure you tightening each side equally, I know this may seem common sense, but if one side has more tension it will start to leak. Also use a wire brush to clean the two surfaces and then try some paste.
