    280mm + discs

Can anyone tell me what the larger discs used on 5's in the larger brake conversion are from, or even better the best place to get them?

What you need to find out is what other cars have the same spacing ect as the 5 has, there is a whole list of Renaults and other cars with 280mm discs, clios, meganes and lagunas for example have them but not sure if there fit or not?

I know this is slightly off topic but, I found these K-Sport 286mm Brakes and thought they looked quite good.

I'm not sure how much they cost but, Apex Performance are UK distributors/dealer

I'll bet there's a market for an adaptor bracket to allow you to fit 172 disks and calipers onto a GTT/16V hub. You might need a larger diameter master cylinder though, not sure

Fit the callipers/carriers off a Pug 306 GTI-6 or a xsara VTS, they are the same bendix design as std but are bigger and have big beefy pads. They go straight on and suit 285mm disks. You'll need the master cylinder from a none ABS 306 though (22mm) as opposed to the GTT's 19mm one.

have you actually fitted them yourself? I'm not being funny, but rarely do things that 'go straight on' actually go straight on. Which 285mm disks, no washers, special bolts, adaptors, hoses or anything else needed?

I had them fitted on my clio MK1 turbo. Same design as O.E just bigger, same mounting hole pattern. All they need is a set of 15" wheels to fit.
