max power from stock cam?
outa intrest whats the highest power thats been achieved from the c1j with the stock cam in situe? or highest trap speed? and can anything be gained by retiming the stock cam?

I know MarkyB has 217bhp and 252ft lb of torque with a stock cam...... and 27psi at the manifold and 50/50water meth injection

maybe 210-220hp as an absolute max, you don't see standard cams running faster than 105mph trap generally regardless of boost or other tuning! I think ant@ backyard maxed one right out at 108mph, or there about. I told him he would never go quicker than 105mph with his standard cam, he had to prove me wrong Ofcourse he went much quicker when he switched the gas on.
Moving on, the piper 285 usually tops out at 112mph then, regardless of boost or other tuning. Timing can have a big effect on the 285. I don't know how much extra you could pull out of the standard cam with timing adjustments, not much I expect.

cool, good to know. ive pulled a few 104s when i had a c1j in the red clio, didnt know what would be a good aim out of the 5 cheers

I went 108mph on a std cam and turbo.
My aim is 110+ on road tyres too.

i've had a 105 with std cam and full road trim... wasn't a very good time tho, think it was a mid 14 when i got that trap
