the nuts usually do fall off!! if your getting a popping through the exhaust on overrun then the gaskit is leaking a bit...as to weather its affecting your pref.on boost then it decides on how loose the manifold is??
if it's been loose you'd be as well to swap the gasket, chances are it's damaged.
anyone got the part number for the mani gasket?
R11800 From Gsf!

Thats funny when i was doing my inlet manifold I noticed about three studs loose on the exhaust manifold.
it happens, just use some new binx nuts that will help
the later type manifold is webbed making the inlet hard to remove!!
anyone got any tips for changing the manifold gasket?? what needs2 come off etc: ordered 1 a few days ago.... its poppin like a ******* yet another job for the wknd ohh well! keeps me out of trouble.
Get as much as you can out of the way mate.
Carb, turbo, drop the down pipe, any coolant pipes and that
We have 4 full gasket sets in Shop stock that I haven't listed
No head gasket ,but all others ,manifold rocker etc ....
Meillor kit 016236P
I can do them shipped for £20
Or put a OE head gasket in with it for £32.50 .
I only have 3 oe head gaskets left though .
Il be keeping an eye on this thread, gota do mine soon
Its not really that bad Blick. My manifold has the extra webbing which made it an akward job, and it kept snowing, lots. Otherwise it'll be fairly easy. If you're doing the head gasket anytime soon it'll be even easier
Oh, and mine left loads of the old gasket on the face of the head. I had to block the ports up and get a wire wheel and WD40 on the case. If you do this WATCH YOUR FINGERS!!! It hurts
