engine analysis software - Flow through through ports

    hey hey,

you mentioned before that you were using performance trends software, can you theoretically calculate bhp and torque figures from that software using different lift and flow profiles??

i did try sending a PM a while back, but i don't know if you got it??

    Cheers

you can.... I play around with backpressure and stuff. On the whole I don't think it's very good with overlap and backpressure, I'm lead to believe that it takes a very good simulator to get close to reality during that part of the cycle. I've ended up trying to look at how sensitive a particular cam is to backpressure to decide how suitable it is.

if i give you some different flow figures and lift, like standard against piper, would you be able to punch it in and get some screen shots for me?

i've got my project assignment due in, ricardo and GT power, are way to advanced to get any sort of figures from.... pretty much a years worth of work on theyre own sadly

you can download and use it free for a month, you may as well try doing it for yourself, it's pretty easy to use.

ah sweet, i didn't realise that..... first thing i saw was the dollar signs lol

One other thing, is there any way to calculate CFM , from the flow percentage and the ranges used??

    Hi mate,

I've installed the demo, i'm having some trouble...

i haven't got any CFM rating for the intercooler, and the rocker ratio??

when i run the simulation, it says A/F mixture very poor... any ideas? i can't find anything on A/F ratios??
