Lights Dimming/pulse/dipping??

Seem to have a small problem with my lights outside and in, dash, clock ect. They seem to dip flicker on idle and some times with revs. My fuel and rev gauge seems to hop about too only abit of movement but they work fine.
The only thing I know is broken and have read abit of info on is the dim dip resister seems to be hard to find a replacement? would this be the cause of the problem as I read its more for the side lights to work when its parked for safety??

it wont be the resistor.......it will be bad earth or a light switch or even the alternator.
