Re: Jamie Shaw @ Caisma Automotive

Not being funny but the guy designed his own body kit, has a huge love for the r5's and ive spoken to him personally has hes a really chilled out and fun guy. Please bear in mind this kit was designed how many years ago? and the carisma kits are certainly good fitting kits compared to the rest of them.. I 100% have no plans to be bodykitting my r5, but i dont think there is any reason to put a guy down just because hes got some imagination.

Car and bodykit , not to my taste, but back in the day i aswell as a huge amount of other people out there loved it.

i never said it would fit aswell as the standard o/e kit , damn ive never fitted a bodykit thats come close, eccosse kits come close though, sham they are very overpriced, but im saying compared to the million other jap tat kits that came into succession the carisma kit fitted damn well.

By the way last think i heard about him is he got convicted of somthing to do with drugs, not sure if it was selling or general use. It was on the news about a year ago , i remmber it being posted across a few sites.

Re: Jamie Shaw @ Caisma Automotive

The original version of his silver R5 was incredible for its time. For young GTT fans it was what you had always wanted to see. Carisma going nuts on the body and bloody crazy on the interior but keeping the original lines down the side of the car. Then BBPT going 100% on the engine side, I mean the best (read: most expensive) from their catalogue.

I still have the magazine it featured in upstairs. £50k spent, yep, what a joke but also, what a feckin unique and absolutely top quality finish in every single, tiny, detail. The mag that featured it rated it, yes a GTT, as the BEST EVER modified European car. Shame Carisma then went way OTT with the body work shortly after.

Of course we're all grown up now

yer i saw that to, went on a rampage at his house, throwing things off the balcony etc

not to keen on the kitted up 5's, some of the ideas on them are ok, and have seen a few kits that look alrite, but i thibk the standard look is the new modified. But i do lik the standard smoothed look, bumstops on bumpers smoothed
