    Re: Back from Respray

    I think perhaps the T in turbo needs to be bold like the R T O C not R t O C

Nice one for putting the effort in tho, the current stickers will now become the "rare" ones

Awesome effort - love the old school decal.

Agree with the Bold t though if it can be done, or maybe even italic the Turbo word similar to the boot badge? What about a similar font for the turbo word like the old T1 T2 also?

Not trying to create more work - its a top effort and Bravo Zulu (that means nice one well done in military speak) just offering my slant!

Here's my old Skool owners club window sticker.

If I eBay it, will it reach phase 2 grill or bms down pipe money?

Re: stickers for the club :)

I hope it does make good money as mine would go just as well.

But on a serious note the club is replicating the old window clings and i should have a sample next week before they hit the club shop identical to the original hopefully and then the new ones pictured about will be tweeked and hopefully offered in members packs or the shop or both

Same with the side decals too im trying to get them replicated for the club but will see how that goes also doing this too

Just a few things the club is working on behind closed doors

Re: stickers for the club :)

So after 2 members had the decals reproduced the club feels its necessary to get them replicated again?

All phase 1 and phase 2 side decals are available through myself or Gt Turbo spares.

If the club want them for the club shop pm me.

Re: stickers for the club :)

Hi topcat i was at the printers having the club stickers done and i asked about side decals and he said he would have a look. I took him some pictures in and he seemed interested in doing me some if i wanted so i suggested it to the club and have just gone with it. I thought you had only done a run of so many and werent doing any more but i was wrong. I wasnt around when you asked the club if they wanted them as i would have worked with you as much as possible. The club is working hard on sorting some bits out for members to help keep cars on the road and in the club. We are trying to get a phase 2 front grill replicated too and im sending one to another member this weekend to be looked at and if that goes well i have a phase 1 grill that might be done too.

I will speak to the committee and see what we can come up with decal wise and pm you too as we are all wanting to help other members and want to work together if we can

IIRC, at £900 for a minimum of 10 sets in one colour,

x 5(?) colours, the club was expected to sink £4500 into something that may not sell.

I don't know why people can't remember this simple sum before every time they again take a pop at 'the club'.

These small stickers are more like £1 each by comparison to £90 for just one set of side stickers.

No need to get so defensive on this Ian, your point is now moot seeing as an individual member thought that it was worth while and took the leap of faith required.
I personally think it was a short sighted mistake.

TopCat was meaning that 2 members had replicated the small logo decals Ian, not the side decals bud.

He was talking about both, the side decals and the r5gtoc decal.

I reproduced the r5gtoc decal because the club showed no interest previously and ignored members requests as it was deemed to be "not in the best interests of the club"

It is funny tho that as soon as i have them done, low an behold the club starts reproducing them again.
    Coincidence much....

It doesn't really matter who produces them?

As long as members get them for the best price?

I understand that you've spent time getting them reproduced, but if they can be done cheaper then it's a winner for all. As you've said you're not making money out of it so it shouldn't matter.

    Just my thoughts

Re: stickers for the club :)

I think the club was split about whether it should be done or not. Following recent developments though the club is trying to put its best foot forward, so some of the resistance to the stickers dissipated, hence.

Tbh I think it was forgotten that you had gone ahead and produced these, otherwise I think someone would have been in touch to get them in the shop.

Nobody meant to step on toes.

That rtoc with the diamond looks mint!

Maybe do the "rtc" bit in the latest renault font as a nod to the modern cars and then keep the old style diamond for "o" to recognise the older motors.
