    Re: Spare wheels

williams is a 7j wide but i had a set a few months back and come from clio16v.

What people have done before is go to the scrap yard and find a clio 16v and buy the spare wheel. Usually the person doesn`t want alot of money due to it looking a state

    Re: Spare wheels

Yep clio/19 16v spare wheel got a spare one but its helping my move my 5 at the moment. Like Rich says go to a scrappy, you can get them cheap, or find somebody breaking a 19/clio and hopefully they dont know what they are worth, got mine for a fiver with unused tire on it, cost me a fiver

    Re: Spare wheels

i would say go on clio16valver website but then people want silly money for them due to alot of people using them for track so would probably be easier and alot less money to search a scrap yard

    Re: Spare wheels

Aye, as noted, the Clio 16v and R19 16v spares are 6.5" wide. The Williams ones are 7".

Paul B said they are about £50 each new from Renault. I was tempted to buy a new set

    Re: Spare wheels

yeah trev just pm'd paul to find out for me! £50 is alot for 1 wheel!

i'm also asuming that the 7j would clear the 285 disc conversion? as the 6 1/2 j is smack bang on the caliper

    Re: Spare wheels

£50 is a bargain for a new wheel of any sort from Renault I'd have thought

I'd be inclined to think that the offset of the wheels will be the same so the caliper will most probably be just as close (if you mean close in that manner, rather than height wise). If it clears it clears though!

    Re: Spare wheels

When i was at vw a spare steel wheel would be around 30 odd plus the vat, i just would of thought they'd be a little cheaper
