    actuator

    After fitting the turbo and aem wideband at the weekend,I noticed it was a touch rich @wot so I thought I would increase the boost a bit.How wrong was I.The wise men at CR turbos have glued the wastegate end on to the actuator rod and its not moving at all,the whole rod just turns.

    Re: actuator

    It just does my head in,you tell them what boost you want to run,which was 18psi,so they supply it at 9psi but lock it up solid,IV had grips on it and the fooking thing wont budge

    IIRC acutator pressure = less lag.

    Bleed = lag slag ?

    Re: actuator

    I'll be in at weekend mate so if you want to leave it untill then and pop down we can get it set correctly . You sill have a few spares here too, plus my engine might be out by/on weekend which will leave that exhaust bracket free (which you can have) and if my cars getting stripped at somepoint your welcome to the fuel pump bracket too.

    Re: actuator

    Just spoke to CR turbos who have said they can't supply an actuator for 18psi,I shouldn't be adjusting the actuator and will have to use boost control.

    Negative...bleed off makes no difference to spool up time in my experience

    Could you not explain that Surely with them glueing it they have alterd the working part you have bought rendering it almost useless the whole point they are made with threads is so that if the purchaser chooses to alter the item they would be able to? I now know another place that won't be having any of my mullah.. Looks like bleed valves the way then bood.. Cheap fix really..

    Re: actuator

    when you get turbos for most cars they are glued, or have a paint mark where they are set to stop them being adjusted. Maybe the person on the phone was different to the person building it and wires got crossed and he glued it instead of leaving it. If you bought it with them knowing you want to run more than standard boost they should supply a non glued one surely

    Re: actuator

    After I explained to them I wasn't going to just whack the boost up and hope for the best they have decided to send me an actuator that is adjustable and will hold more boost.Funny cos that's what I asked for in the firstqplace
