the pillars had previously been flocked, unfortunately whoever did them had used something resembling prit stick as an adhesive so a lot of the flock had fallen off and what remained was pretty rough



pillar now cleaned up and surface keyed





holes had been made for some alarm sensors



repaired and sanded



one of the end tabs had been bent



plastic warmed gently both sides to de stress the plastic and it moves back to its original position



next a couple of these gauge pods were chopped up



to make someting more fitting to the renault pillar





pods placed on pillar and positions marked





back of pillar cut out to allow fittment of gauges and for cable runs



pods bonded in place






will update as the work progresses

As above, great finish. I looked for some good quality pods for mine but gave up and fitted a centre mount.

Can not wait to see them finished

this particular set is for a customer who has sent them in to be done but send me your a pillars and i can do the same for you

im afraid i dont do painting of flexible plastics like the renault pillars, it never seems to last well and i dont like turning out work that i dont have total confidence in, sorry

Thats ok mate, i already have a double pod that we made by moulding a piece that fits over the top of this panel and attaching it using the two existing screw locations. Yours looks to have improved on this by making it a one piece unit but only if its flocked.

for a single pod fitted and both A pillars flocked you would be looking at £70 or for twin pods fitted and both A pillars flocked £85
