    Clutch change - time

    Hi all,

Questions is: How long to change the clutch? (I'm estimating I can do it within a day)

Done my last 5 while the engine was out so I dont have realistic time of how long it would take.

Better with engine up and out or down and out.

How long would the volvo soft pedeal conversion take in addition.

    Thanks all

    Re: Clutch change - time

There was a thread recently about best way and how long to do a clutch, some people leave box in and take engine out, some take all of it out, i leave engine in and take box out (no need for engine crane).

Takes me roughly 2-3hrs to do a clutch with engine in box out, depends if the bolts are stubbon or not

    Re: Clutch change - time

i whip it all out, could do it in a day on my tod but i get bored and do it over 2 days mostly on the phone drinking tea.. if a mates over couple of hours easy and fresh oil, coolant, flush rad + heater matrix and nipping up all those suspect manifold nuts all get done too..

if all the above is spot on, have a bash at doing it with the box in
