triumph stag 3.0 timing chain
My mums asked me to have a crack at doing her timing chain's on her 3.0 v8 triumph stag. Ive said ill order the video dvd and see how hard it looks and then decide. Compltely out my depth with this v8 stuff though, should i be worried, way i see it so long as i mark everything up well it should be diffiucult to go far wrong.

Re: triumph stag 3.0 timing chain
Best bit is talking your mum into making a coffee table out of the old triumph lump and fitting a rover in there. Far superior to the triumph engine which was designed at twenty to five on a Friday evening.
Failing that, mark everything up as you say and you can't go wrong. It's still a single cam engine so shouldn't be difficult just make sure to replace the full kit not just chain.

sweet cheers dude, to be honest she dosent do enough miles to worry to much about the reliability, ill be doing the full kit. Regards the upgrade to the rover engine shes dead against it, naturally she does know the reasons for the swap, but prefers to stick with the original lump.

I have a customer who is a stag specialist, if you get stuck I can have a word in his ear.
