Definitely worth buying, could save damage to your engine. Its easy to over rev in the wet if the wheels are spinning or if you miss a gear. I flat shift with mine too.

The armtech limiter i have on the van hasnt got the flat shift option so i use the rev limiter instead
I need to get one my mates mate lunched his engine when throttle cable got stuck.

Definetly worth it..... My throttle stuck open once and bounced off the limiter a few times before i could switch it off. Engine would of been dead without it. I use the omex revlimiter with a soft cut then hard cut. (hard cuts a bit extreme if you hit it)
Out of interest what would you set the limiter to on a standard car engine turbo etc
its up to you. you dont have to hit it when nailing it(its just a safety thing). i rev mine to 7k but i dont think you need to rev a std engine that far(no performance gain) on std T2 id say around 6ish just after maybe?

if you want uber pikey, but nice and cheap, you can get rotor arms with rev limiters built in. - these are mainly for older volkswagens, but id bet you can get one that fits the gtt rotor centre. basically its a weight that breaks the contact at a certain revs as the rotor spins quicker.....
anyone else selling one? Or got a link to one? Could do with one of these myself

Don't mean to hi jack tour thread here buddy but in interested in a limiter my self and was liking the idea off flat shifting but how does it hold the revs on a engine fitted with a carb or does this only work on a efi car? Really melting my brain
It wont hold the revs will it? You can just bounce it off the limiter unttil you re engage clutch?

without the flatshift capability you can let the rev's bounce of the pre-determined limit you set while changing gear.
With the flatshifting rev-limiters, they have a switch you mount behind the clutch pedal. when the clutch is pressed it will hold the revs at whatever the rev's were at when the switch was activated..... even with your foot to the floor, they will not raise(much
yea my flatshifter limits the revs to half the rev limit once its gone over half the rev limit and the clutch is down. does awesome pops and bangs but its savage on the gearbox (i've had 5)

i guess so, just use half!
