Is there a lawyer in the house?

As the title suggests, anyone involved in law?

    Particularly divorce law

Some of the old school members may suggest TK but not sure what area of law he is into? (he is not in the uk either)

It's a fcuked up place to be mate.

    11 years and 2 kids

Will PM TK but if anyone else knows anything about divorce law let me know please. Too much info out there on the subject with no real conclusive advise to get my head round.

Citizens Advice Bureau..... local and free.... ive used them for housing issues.. look up your local opening times for calls and be on the blower to them as soon as the line opens.... trying to ring a busy doctor is easy compared to the CAB...then after they work out your not a fruit cake they will invite you round for a chat....and they are good.....a charity too.....

Got a meeting booked for Friday already eug, not sure what to expect.

Hopefully something more substantial than a pile of leaflets or a load more websites to look at.

Sorry to see this mate It's never a good thing; worse when ya kiddies are involved.

Tom (T.K) should be able to advise, or point you in the right direction.

Failing that, some solicitors do offer an initial half hour/hour consultation for free, if it's just general divorce questions you want answering. Anything more specific, or in more fine detail to said questions, will cost you though.

    Thanks bruv.

There seem to be a few offering the free initial service and will be hitting the blower tomorrow.

She's already on the case with financial demands, timescales and legal threats.

Aii, a woman scorned & all that

Probably best to get on the case asap if she's already threatening you with the aforementioned. Last thing you want is to be taken to the cleaners.

    Stay strong & focused mate

Think of the bright side, without her I think we'll be seeing you a lot more this summer. Goodbye permission slips!

Andy, I'm really sorry to hear about this. Seen it happen a few times with close friends and it's just horrible.

Only advice I have is to jump on this quick with a good, pro-active lawyer. I expect Tom could and has recommend someone with his connections. This is also where you find your real best friends come in. Keep them close and stay strong.

    Hi
Just remember one vital element throughout all the messy stuff
that will develop, its all about the children! Its vital that you remember
that. Nothing else really matters. Just you and the children.

Thanks Al, trying to stay positive but it's not easy. Had some legal advice from multiple sources and while being comprehensive, it's by no means conclusive.
