As the title suggests did BB performance really make an uprated perc fan? If they did how could i tell?
Need help as lad i know is selling one he recons is the above. Has a silver label (not orange) with ren part on it and looks the same as any other pf, so personally i think hes talkin s**t.
But i may be wrong.
There is a larger fan unit than the normal one which is found originally on the renault 5 gt turbo. As for who sold it im not entirly sure but a local member has one.
Apparently it's the fan from a Renault Safrane.
If you check the part number with a Renault dealer they might have it listed.
So does the larger fan offer any benefits over the standard sized one? or is it just a part off another renault sold by many a so called "tuner" as there own "uprated" item?
Been several years since ive had a perc fan, never had any trouble starting my 5. just pump the pedal once or twice after a hot start.

Chap id save your money if i were you, perc fanc are known for sticking on and flatting your battery, motors sticking...
AND as i found out a good old fire risk!
Save your money for some decent service gear, oil,plugs what ever
Ive got a fully working perc fan fitted at the moment so no probs there. Just thought he was trying to pass a standard one off as something it isnt.
as jrp says.....if your still desperate for some airy fairy then try using a couple of hairdriers....

Junk the anti perc fan.
Hi modified a perc fan some time ago by removing the bushes and fitting stainless bearings. A pig to fit the bearings but the fan then spun up like a turbo and had a furious blow on the carb.
