is it really worth me whacking on a massive front mount i have or sticking with my pace single core, i'm not running big pressure just over a bar at most. Is it really that more efficient?

At this time of year, with a front mount, you may run into carb freezing problems...

Charge temps being higher, as Adam L says in the winter you won't have so much of a problem as with a front mount you may have trouble with carb freeze, i use to with my old Forge front mount. During the summer i'd use one for that boost level.
