any one knows if an uprated (high flow/high pressure)oil pump for the c1j exists?
any help appriciated.

i think its a no, people seem to just shim the standard one..
technically there is one.....
i spotted it on this site a while ago
http://keops-racing.skyrock.com/
and
http://keos-racing.skyrock.com/
it shows a fresh casting of a new oil pump that has a deeper body than standard.
you have a few pages to look through though....

i posted the link to the correct page. its the 3rd link i posted..... just scroll down.
ive never tried to get hold of the guy though.

yeah man i checked it out the housing is different, the rotor definitly larger in diameter,it`s for sure a higher flowing pump if anything!maybe i`ll try to contact him
later,it i`ll surely ease my mind off it oil starving when i`m spinning it like crazy...
Thanks for the link mate!!
~The standard pump will create more pressure at higher rpms its limited by the relief valve, this is why some people shim the spring to increase the pressure needed to open the valve.
Having a higher flowing pump will just get the pressure there sooner. Might be worth finding out what sort of pressure your turbo oil seals will handle too.

they wown`t handle much but it i`ll be running a restrictor before the turbo so that will sort it.i`m just worried the std pump wown`t pump enough oil in the crank bearings to survive at high rpm!! baybe too much bleed off from the bearings and also worried that the std pump wown`t give me the nessary pressure i need at 8000rpm which will need to be at least 75-80 psi i think..
if it's for a GTT I don't think you can use that pump, it's for a vertical engine. Equally, I doubt you'll need anything better than the standard pump, if anything the problem will be getting the oil back to the sump rather than having it floating around the top of the engine.
i`m not that experienced with c1j but you think i can get 75psi out of it simply by shiming the spring or strenghting it for that matter??if you say i can i`ll give it a go cause it`ll be a pain to fit external oil pumps to it!
and i`m not that worried about it hanging around at the top of the head either, what i`m more worried about is for it hanging around in the cam gallerey...

you'll get plenty of pressure out of a shimmed GTT pump in good condition with good bearings. You might want to consider fitting a restrictor in the gallery to the rockers, no idea what you'd need though.
I run a shimmed OE GTT pump in my C1J, I use a 5mm space and when warm and high revs I see max of 65psi this is using 15w 40 oil
i get 5 bar from my new o.e oil pump which i shimedi use 5/40 fully synth
