    braided oil cooler lines..

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

Hey folks.. just purchased a set of these for my phase 2 from hose solutions. got 2 braided hoses and also 2 L shaped black metal pipes..the hoses obviously join onto the L shaped pipes, but just wondering where the black pipe screws into.. do they go into the cooler on the radiator..

They're not essential mate, I didn't use mine, just screwed my hoses directly into the sandwich plate behind the oil filter.

Is this for the original cooler built into the 5GTT radiator?

You should make sure the bore through the fittings is large enough and the hoses don't kink and reduce the oil flow. Large enough I would guess should be the same as the original fittings or better.

Too little oil flow could mean rapid turbo failure, and soon after that, engine failure.

Ideally you should use an oil pressure gauge fitted to the top of the turbo.
