Are you wanting the engine in the rear driving the rear wheels, or engine at front driving the rear wheels via a prop?
there is a shell on ebay at the mo.... 2k mind
i have seen this done a few times no so someone that no"s what they are doing should be able to do it some guy in dartford near me siad he would have done it for me but he dont have the time now as he done hes ph1 gt turbo and looks a great job
Well cost wise firstly if you want to do twin engine then you will need another enigne of exact spec as first one so that will be first big cost.
Doing the shell all depends on how much the person would cost, if i still had my unit i'd of converted shell for £700 with a front end being supplied to weld in the back.
Then you got specing suspension at back same as front, brakes, wiring, fuel tank, fuel pumps, new exhaust system, modifing the gear linkage, etc
aww right see £700 wouldnt be to bad to get the shell done as for the engines + gearboxs i have two here one that i have modded that im building and the other i could do after that as for the exhaust system thats not a problem it would just be the gear linkages and getting the clutchs to work with each other
ok thank you for your help markey mark if i find someone to do it and i have the money that it would need in order to do this conv then i would get it done we will see what happens i have seen one raider shell done with a rear wheel drive done hay hope fully it will come up for sale again
2 clutches to hook up. 2 gear linkages. Fuel tank relocation etc etc I could go on all day or keep your eyes peeled and buy the twin engine already built that's in jersey if it comes up soon.
Out of interest - why? Wouldn't it just be like having a 4WD car with more power bias in one direction if you had a more powerful engine at either end?
I was under the impression that some 4WD cars were set up to do this anyway - mainly to the rear, to give it the characteristics of a RWD car?
