Everythings fooked!!!

So two days ago ..on the way to work ..it starts missfiring...refusing to idle.And it stunk of fuel bad ...that bad i had to use superunleaded as it wasnt so bad as a smell lol!

So i opted for new HT leads...missfire is still there.

Then my throttle jams when a full throttle ..i quickly turn it off ...try to unjam the throttle ..while on the fone to miller ..i managed to free it off.

then reco turned up ..gave it a rev to get it to start as it was refusing to start ...when doing this ..massive backfire up throught the carb with flameage! so left the car at work overnite.

I was then told to check the dizzy ..so i took the cap off ..gave it all a clean ..and put it back on ...it fired up on 3cylinders ..then cut out.

Then after that ...nothing ..it wouldnt fire up

Had to get it home on tow by the AA.

So ..now im stuck with no car to get to work :S ....wot ya all think? ...im thinking petrol and a match now

is the rev counter moving when turming the engine over?

plugs /cap/and rotor arm usually sort ignition faults without the need to dig further

it didnt get a soaking in the heavy(read torential) downpour did it?

no bent valves from the over rev i hope

Think id take the rocker cover off and check tappet clearances/pushrods bent or worse maybe valves bent. compression test would also be a next step. Hopefully its bent a pushrod and is easily fixed

tdc lead.and you should always run super

Over boost wiring arking on the bodywork?

will be having a look at the car this weekend but
the carb jammed open while i was there and reved the balls ofdf the car so much shaking later i noticed the bar for the acc pump had caused the carb to stick open will have the carb off the car and swap for mine at some point today
tappets will need redone3 and i will be supprised if push rods are all ok lol

is there anywhere you can buy new ??

we will fill you all in with our findings
