    Re: Back from Respray

Well the car won best bodywork and paint at the show and shine at ND yesterday.
To me and my dad it was the end result after a father and son restoration that took 7 years and started with a £300 car.

Best in Show (Pascal) next to Best Bodywork and Paint

Back home after a good day!

Personally I thought your car deserved the award, I thought the paintwork/bodywork was absolutely pristine and overall looked excellent.

lol unfortunatly not dude , my problem is i get to itchy , and drive the cars to much to ever have them quite that clean lol, but i do try ,

cars that impressed me in the show and shine were yours, james surridges as that thing is always so damn cleanand black and the red r5 owned by the french, very clean cars and pin sharp straight.

I want to get the standard speedlines back on but they all need tyres and i simply cant afford that luxury at the moment with a 3 year old and one on the way

Well i wasnt going to update this thread anymore, but i guess no restoration is ever completely finished
So...managed to get hold of a set of standard speedlines with really good correct size tyres off Leebourner

    Really pleased with them

I also seem to be having photobucket issues at the moment Ive sorted a new account so all my other pics will be back soon.

The std wheels will look great in an OE way and your car will be like new, but i also love the look of your wolfrace wheels, perhaps keep the speedlines imaculate for shows?

Think thats the plan tony. Speedlines will eventually need a refurb but they will do for now.

    Thank you mate
The graphics were purchased off ebay for about £70 roughly 4-5 years ago nearly at the beginning of the project. Checking through the paperwork the seller doesn't exist on there anymore. Sorry mate best i can do.

    Re: Back from Respray

Im currently in the process of beginning the refurb on the Speedlines.
Tyres have all been removed and the wheels checked for straightness and cracks/damage. Three were perfect but one was literally egg shaped.
Annoying really as i was told they were all straight before i bought them
The "egg" was swapped for a straight spare and then i gave them all a good general clean up.
We now need to decide whether to get them blasted or chemically stripped

Not to worry mate cheers anyway...

I think a few people on here are trying to get hold of a few sets. If some come up on Ebay though I imagine the price is going to rocket lol I'll be keeping my mouth shut if a set come up

Not commented in here before but after seeing the before pictures and how it is now all I can say is well done, what a transformation. All the hard work was worth it.

Must admit though, I actually really like the wheels it came with, any idea what they were?

    Thank you
I think the wheels were an old Prima Racing wheel
They had Prima 15 cast on the back of one of the spokes.
I sold them for scrap cause i hated them
