    Track day Wooooos :(

Well first trackday of the year with the Megane 225 engien fitted, And not such a good start.

I belive that my car has been "tampered" with in the carpark over night, the fuel pressure has NOT been altered or touched in 4 months and set and mapped for that pressue, Got there this morning the car would not start, after investigation the locking nut was loose on the fpr!! And the adjuster right off, i altered it to 3bar of fuel and she fired, Happy days, I am confident soem ones popped the aeros and altered this and pulled a lead off.

Did 4 x sessions and on the last session i heared a little noise, its loud on the car and with my helment on it didnt seem any thing too worry about, untill this happened

Wipped the hea doff down there, the head gasket is really bad too , unsure if the blocks ****ed, see photos Game over, ordering new pistons tommorrow

On the video that i will post its very obviosu that its deting it face off, later fining out it should have been 3.5bar!!! and that the fpr is also dodgie!!!

    and back home

    not great news

Would someone really tamper with the fpr? Seems strange and bloody mean if they have.

Noise does not sound good and the engine looks like it has taken a bit of a beating. Hope you get it back up and running soon

unsure if the quality is any different but they look identical. measure up the same etc etc

The Colour difference could be the 172 rods were old??

The rods on the left deffinetly look stronger on the H part than the rods on the right.

they do seem to have more "meat " on them dont they, is it me or are the renault engines getting worse in build quality/ strength wise over the older type f engines ,pretty sure even the 7 series hade more than that on the rods renault cutting corners to save money/ or maybe not building in such high saftey factors into engine design(more ££££for them in repairs labour /parts??? or am i spouting
