I am running the stock rad with a gt tuning double cap, the standard oil cooler pipes are resting on the front of my cooler it dusnt look too practical, just wondering if you can buy replacement braided pipes or mebys universal ones so I can feed it round the cooler with out catching, thanks

Is your oil pressure gauge working?
If you care about you turbo / engine lasting you should make sure the internal diameter of the fittings for those braided hoses are as wide as the OE.
The over braided hoses I bought and immediately returned had a very very small hole through the fitting and I didn't want to take the chance.
Low oil pressure is a main cause of turbo failure.
Been thinking about solutions to this & the gt tuning intercooler originally came with two adaptor fittings that go into the rad to move the oil cooler hoses away from the intercooler a couple of inches, might be worth sniffing some of them out

what oil pressure does everyone have, i get 20psi after the car is warm and 60 wen i have just turned her over.
Are both those readings taken at idle ?
yes forgot to mention that and then once warm and i start driving it goes up to like 40 - 45 if i remember from the 20 idle, just wanted to see if thats the norm.

See if you can get the adaptors first mate, cheaper than any other option.
You should plumb it in to the oil inlet just above the turbo.

Get an oil pressure gauge first.
The ones I had were 2nd hand and had kinked near the bottom fitting as the fitting was too long and stuck out too far forcing the hose back against some engine part, I forget what now, but maybe the turbo oil drain metal pipe.
I felt it was occluding the bore a bit. But that was nothing compared to the occlusion of the tiny hole through the fittings.
The only way is to buy a set and compare the ID of the fittings with the OE.
If they are still a lot smaller then fit a decent oil pressure gauge first, note what your pressures are for cold and hot at low and high RPM, then fit the over braided hoses and see if your pressure has dropped at any point.

Are those actually 'decent' gauges?
I agree they are cool and groovy with their appearance.
A pal had some similar a few years back but didn't seem to get them to actually measure anything.
As far as oil pressure goes, it's the rapid end of your turbo and engine that's at stake. That's not somewhere you want to sacrifice reliable accuracy for prettiness.
If they do the job well then that's great as it's an electric oil pressure gauge and it will be much easier to take wires to it than to take a small stiff over braided Teflon hose filled with high pressure engine oil.
there supposed to good yeah mate , only reason im not using them is my R5 has a gauge in the dash and i dont wanna change dash and i dont want to have odd gauges, alot of subaru owners etc use these gauges.. there unused brand new
I have fitted the braided oilcooler hoses to bens gtt. Has anybody got any pics of them fitted to compare?
Crap fit imo, although they do fit better than the originals with the breadbin cooler. No kinks just poor piperun. Also the olives that fit over the metal pipe are crap in my opinion, they have nipped up though so until i get it fired up i wont know if they leak or not..
