    Nice!

    http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...33rq?logcode=p

Very nice! And a reasonable price too - much better than the £10k one, and not far off the condition by the look of it. All looks very standard too - what about that stereo.. can't see much of it, but it almost looks OE?

A dealer who respects the car. You don't often see protective sheets on interiour carpet.

That's got to be worth more than the peice of **** for £10k!

    Re: Nice!

IMO that's the best colour for a Phase I.. lovely motor that and very reasonably priced, in fact reckon he could've got away with asking a bit more as got to be rare in that condition.

Yeah I know, I'm searching for better storage at the moment but I have nowhere to keep it presently. I may go and check it out, just for a look of course.

This is super. Reminds me of when I got mine, except mine had 54k and only cost £1600.

That's why I went straight from Derby to Southampton to buy it and didn't bother with a test drive!

    Gotta love the C plates.

    Re: Nice!

My mate told me about this car before it came up for sale, 2 or so months back and tried to see if i could make an offer in the hope they didn't know much about r5's but they hadn't decided how much they wanted for it. I haven't seen it close up though. Only through the window.

    Re: Nice!

It seems this was almost a victim of the scrappage scheme which would have been a shame. Like I said the pictures are a little flattering the drivers side headlamp and indicator are cracked/chipped, the grill is fairly scuffed up but not broken, offside wing has been replaced due to an accident, I couldn't see any further damage. The bonnet is very chipped and has a few dings. Windshield surround has unfortunately got the tin worm, quite badly on the passenger corner also less badly in a couple of other places. Both doors have dings and have lost paint though don't seem to have dropped. Rear quarters sem to be okthough the decal has been scratched through to the paint (he has a replacement, not sure which side) Tailgate seems ok but there is an inch and a half square patch that has been touched up badly and will need respraying. All the bodykit is in good nick apart from the passenger rear arch which is scratched. Rear parcel shelf hinges seem to be broken but not sure if it's the shelf or the attachments. Has original jack and bag and spare MXV. Wheels are pretty bad and need a refurb, fitted with a P600 and three Uniroyals. Red(?) carpet in good condition and seats again good except the outside bolsters which need restuffing. Has been fitted with several (over time) incar phone kits so there are a lot of holes in the plastics on both sides of the passenger foot well. Original Phillips radio cassette. Dash and steering wheel good though dials are pink and gear lever very shiney. Engine bay though dirty looks totally original and un fiddled with though I'm no expert on Ph 1. I don't know if I'm being super picky but I think I would give it a respray as the paintwork is not good, even a good detail would not improve it greatly.
All the above is really picky but I don't want to put people off because the only real rust I could find was the window surround, a little on the subframe and undercarriage but probably less than is on mine so as a base this really would be a great start.
I have got some pics but forgot to bring in the micro SD adaptor so they will have to wait
