I have only ever had steel zinc coated, I would have though that the alternator casing being aluminium would have to be anodized.Originally Posted by gimme5

right i see,next question then, could that be done without stripping any thing off
I very much doubt it
just being looking into this plating buisness
and you can get clear,chromate pass (yellow tinge)
olive drap(green tinge) and black
seen your brackets and thats what im after
would you say thier are yellow
chromate is what they are standard
