hi could anyone tell me if widebands are universal? will any kit fit the gt turbo? what is the main bit your buying on a good set up? is it the control box or a decent bosch sensor? im wanting a decent accurate on but my budget is £200 what would this buy me. cgb is selling a glowshift set with bosch 4.9 sensor for 150 will there be accurate, any help appreciated
Get the aem kit. It's tried and tested, easy to wire up, and within your budget.
alot of the guys use the LM-1
just needs a bung welding into the downpipe - which is supplied.

General consensus seems to be that the £200 ones either don't work very well or fail after sometime .So that £80 saving might not be such a saving in the long run .

yeh i did post a thread a few days ago but no one really saw it and the prices mart gave me were way too high, and the bosch sensors are now 4.9 updated. just seeing if anyone else had anywhere that supply for 200 on ebay there are the aem ones for around 170 are they universal so i can just weld in the bung supplied or does it have to be a specific sensor etc for the gt turbo thanks for your advice?

yes i know whats your problem with me? im only asking advice theres more people than just you on this forum who can give advice, trix said aem so ive been looking at aem and asking if they are universal as there meant to be good and in my budget!
No problem with you, but your being given what is sound advice... but choosing to go against it... its your choice.. but your are asking questions about things and seemingly not really paying it much attention.

Jrp. no one that i know of have ever had a problem with the aem wideband kits, so i dont think the comment you get what you pay for realy is valid. It only needs two wires to get it going.
Fair play. its as clee said, how long will it last? it also being given advice that a little more can buy a better bit of kit.. that begs the question, wait a tad longer and get somthing better. But i understand what you mean trix
You do get what you pay for , it depends what you want from the equipment .
If it is to wire to a gauge and is there to just show you a figure then fair enough that's all you'll need it to do ...............however accurate that may be .
If you intend using it for tuning purposes then that is another matter .
I don't have one fitted as I leave that side of things to the experts , I can't drive and work a laptop at the same time .

Aem, lm-1, zeitronix to mention a couple yes are universal simply get a lambda bung welded to your exhaust downpipe in the correct position.
all i want it for is to give a reading as i drive to make sure im not running lean to keep the engine safe. where i take my car to get tuned have there own kit of tuning purposes. thanks for all your advice im just trying to keep it in budget so can spend more on the tuning side
As Brigsy is always saying ,get it tuned right then leave well alone .Have a gauge but don't rely on it to be accurate and for gods sake don't ignore your own senses even when the gauge says all is OK
May be worth spending a little more, if you are gonna tune.. then you know its deffo accurate, and chances are you will do your own tuning in the end
