Full on drag slag! that thing could never be driven on a normal road. When coming back after the incar you could see how hard it would be to drive.

    Awesome nevertheless!

I liked the tyre smoke coming onto the car through the gear lever gaiter and dash!

The way he nearly got thrown from his seat when changing gear
and finally the blind spot check before moveing over to exit the strip

Some money and time has been put onto that car.

Just for the peeps unsure Millers NRG car is a B18 motor... If only i had some spare cash a b18 would certainly be sat under my bonnet for next year but its all about the budget d16 tuning...

Speaking of 169 terminals, the fastest US steet legal Supra was pulling those back in 2007. Although in 2 years they've managed to scrape another 10mph out of the car I think. And that was a stroked motor.

    Re: fwd record falls again..

that civic in the link has made 172mph traps on other runs.

but yeah, supra is quicker still, but it is 3litre, and dont think that civic is lightweight, they race at 2500lb race weight

it was a handfull! he was only about 50% throlle 1st half of track (you can hear him on and off the throttle), hence only going 8.90. he has ran 8.72@171 before, so should of ran 8.5x@180 if he had more traction, it is winter

Not really knowing a lot bout hondas can sum1 anser me y they are using the b18 engine instead of goin for the 2.2 h22a engine? Is it just a better engine or the fact its a smaller displacment its able to rev higher ?

    Re: fwd record falls again..

most of them use some sort of b18 hybrid, i.e b18, with b20 crank (honda crv)
so makes them 2.0l or so, and rev to 11k or so. very few run the h22 motor, i believe the sleevs are very thin with the large bore, so i think thats the main reason.

    Re: fwd record falls again..

yeah, that view of the car charging towards the camera really shows the cars urgenacy

the car did 1.48 60` and 135mph @ 1/8th on that pass, that is unreal

it really is a huge acheivment what those guys have done, they only broke 8.99 this year, to take take .5 off that and pick up 10mph at that level of the sport takes some doing, and to do it within a few months like they have is just staggering, and to think other than the tyres, these are road legal cars, unreal!

he`s actually quicker than a lot of the "hotrod" cars now, which run full tube chassis`s (weight nothing), 28" slicks, bigger turbo`s, and run methanol!

Dame thats quick for the 1/8th mile!!!

As you say that puts alot of Yank Tanks to shame, and for a road car on original shell too is very impressive. Just show hows times change, never thought you'd see a FWD car do those sort of times and speeds

Just wonder how much quicker they could make it.

    Re: fwd record falls again..

yeah really gets the mind wondering what is, and what isnt possible, or at least likely, i mean for a 7.9 second pass for example you`d be talking 200mph trap speed, which would probably require another 400hp at least, then the traction problems that would come with the extra power, its just crazy to think, but then i thought that when i saw the 1st 8 second pass, thought it would take another couple of years to get to mid 8`s, of course i was wrong

but for example, the guy (miller) reckons he made 200hp more on the dyno before that race (cam change) and he picked up 8mph on his highest trap, deminishing returns i believe is the term
