I'm not sure I like the look of that. It looks like a mirror image of Sear's at Snetterton

Watching people run wide at Graham Hill bend has always been great fun at Brands . I remember way, way back seeing a truck get a tap there, and end up rolling into the pit area, and onto the back of a breakdown truck

Matt brought the 5 back yesterday, sounds awesome, will take abit of getting used to.

Feels smoother 0-60 than before but faster 30-80+... so not complaining

Need to get used to sitting so low down in the buckets, but am very happy with the car, am going to test out a PMT incar cam later, will upload video if it works ok

    Torques.....
I like the way this thing pulls especially as its on carbs..... 5th gear, about 35mph and whack your foot down....no spluttering, just pulls till you run out of road.
Might try one of my tdc leads on it next time I see you, and possibly the other ecu as they have both been 'played with' I think it runs out of puff at 7000+ rpm.

    Re: The Red 16v Project..

Well after a cheeky meet up with the RTOC Sanglairs guys at Tesco the other week I decided to keep the 5....

At the meet i noticed how dirty my car was... hadnt been washed for a year, so today I got a few hours free and gave it a quick clean and a very quick polish....

Still got to sort out the front front bumber and look at repainting/touch up the front end...

It's very straight, shiny in the shiny bits... Front end needs attention and roof needs a good MOP.

A cracking conversion that will get use from now on

This car is just great. I love the idea of being able to cane it around a track all day long reliably.

    Pleased you're keeping it

1st person to give me £1100 takes this away....

Taxed til November, mot runs out in Sept... (Will pass again), its currently at matt@codered to sort out a running issue (runs sweet as a now - just needed idle bike carb idle adjustment and battery was connecting with the bodywork - all sorted)...

Matt drove it back from Essex at good motorway speeds and didn't miss a beat and hardly used any fuel )

Go on matt, give chris the dosh... jesus cant buy every car in the club {despite wanting too..} , besides you don't have enough motors..., all jokes aside its a cracking conversion in a 5 for soooo little money im sure it wont stay around for long.. .
Chris at least you get to keep what was in the boot , no matter what{only he knows..}.
ps.. have you had a chance to collect that carbon object...

I've got a mate who's desperate for a clio 16v after watching the track action at N/D. Now, like a bell, he doesn't have any love for a 5 but I'm trying to make him realise how much of a bargain this is.

What's it like on the road Chris? Has it proved reliable thus far?

Well on Monday just gone the car was collected, delivered on Tuesday to the new owner (is a member on here, will let them announce it on here if they wish to do so).

So no Renault 5's ATM, I actually no longer own a Renault ATM....
