    Tyres for my 5 GTT 2nd phase

    Hi all,

    I have a Phase 2 GTT and want to take her back on original wheels which I have.

    Are the Yokohama A539 Performance Road 175/60/13/77h a good tyre to place on the original rims?

    I want to raise her up 2 inches and put the original alloys on.

    Dave,

    The original size was 195/55/13. These are difficult to come by although Avon are now remaking them for classic tyres. Cheaper options would be 185/60/13. My opinion would be to go no taller and the width no thinner. If its purely a summer car, i would look at a road legal semi slick like the Yokohama R888. Tried and tested and a very good tyres. They should be available in the 185/60/13 size too.
