    Everyday White 5 Gt Turbo

Well yesterday afternoon i picked up a H reg 5 Gt Turbo, the last owner had owned it for over 10 years, but had no more time/space for it.

Its a nice car, a few bits need work & a few things are needed to get it going...

So i am in need of

    Turbo
    Intercooler
    Front Seats
    Front Brake Disc's
    Set of Speedline + Tyres
    A Few boost hose's etc
May need new front & maybe rear suspension
A Good conditon & preferably white GTT front Bumper (standard only)
Drivers Front door - No dents & with locks - Preferably white

I am sure there is more that is needed, i will have to look into my spares and see what i can do.

Oh does anybody know where you can buy the jack points on there own? As from renault there part of the sill....

Pics will follow as the progress starts.

Thanks Michael, TBH the sills look pretty good nick, just the driver's jacking point has a f*cking huge hole in, Bill said it went through the last 3 mot's like it to!

I know when i get round to it i will find more on the car to, but the first job is a f*cking huge clean, its green atm, covered in moss and will take a while to clean.

Oh does anybody know how to remove the strips of grey sh*t around the roof??

You havent seen the moss underneath them..... I will have to remove do every panel on the car... Any bit of surface metal will need doing... even the cross member.

Engine & gearbox could do with coming out so i can give the engine bay a damn good clean.... I will try cleaning the car up & decide then if i want to respray this year or not...

As I said to you mate, it was a very clean car (excluding the drivers door, which has always been crap). I just let it slide "a bit" since I stopped using it . I've got loads of pics of the car on my pc, taken over the last six or so years.

Re: Everyday White 5 Gt Turbo

Well today i was at my parents recovering, got abit bored & the doctor said i needed to keep my back moving but take things gentle...

So i decided to give Ghost a clean... Only used warm water and & soap, got most of the dirt/moss of the car eventually, does have a few heavy oil/grease marks on the wings & bonnet... lets hope some polish will lift that of.

I have pictures to upload, just waiting for them to load on photobucket, but lets just say i am pleased with the car & i owe a massive thank you to Bill for letting his beloved car of 10 years go.

Woah! That looks strange, seeing someone else posting pics of "my" car

It's good to see her looking clean again, and it's good to see that she's still in pretty good nick under that "protective layer"

Oi, knob. I kept that thing minty clean for 7 or 8 years

It'll need the paint cleaning before waxing. Just the way I used to do it

One of the plus things about owning a 5 over the Evo is the size. The Evo's about three times bigger, and it takes forever to clean

Have a look here for the intercooler, standard size ect apart from not having a plastic cap but you would not see that if you have the standard air box piece above.
