    LC-1 Help

Getting to the end of my teather now.

In a nutshell, I bought an LC-1 with DB gauge from a member who's now done a Lucan. At first I couldnt get it to work, so contacted Graham Goode racing. 2 months later they send out a replacement Lambda which i've just fitted. Still no joy.

Basically, after the initial 20 second power on without the sensor, then connect the sensor... even after 10 minutes its still stone cold.

From what I understand the blue wire is the heater wire correct? What can I check for people? I have a feeling i've been sold a duff unit.

Correct Mr Tiny the blue wire is the Heater ground have you got his grounded to the same point as the white wire (Solder the white and blue wires together then ground)?

No, grounded seperately as I was told it can cause interferance if put together.

What locations have you used for grounding?

    Does the gauge work?

    Re: LC-1 Help

Oh, here and there lol Cars stripped and most of the wiring has been tucked away so i've been using the fusebox and some relays.

The gauge 'works' when connected (have tried to get the lc-1 working with and without it connected) but sits at 7.4 and just flashes. With the gauge connected to the LC-1, when I remove the heater earth the gauge reads around 22... which suggests to me the LC-1's getting power of sorts. gods knows whats going on.

    Re: LC-1 Help

If memory serves me right I think the DB gauge should show something even when not connected to the LC-1.

You got the DB gauge wired up correct?

When you were talking blue wire I take it you were talking about the LC-1 and not the DB gauge? As the DB gauge blue wire should be connected to the brown wire of the LC-1

DB Gauge Red - should be a switched on (So ignition switch)
DB Gauge Black - earth point (For example under the steering wheel column),
DB Gauge Purple - to a ground point
DB Gauge Blue - should be connected to Brown LC-1

    Re: LC-1 Help

Dont say that, I cant be dealing with waiting another 2 months

Is there any way I can test there's power going to the LC-1 and thus the sensor?

Dodgy sensor of dodgy LC-1 unit
When you go to Nat day see if someone will let you hook up to thier LC-1, that will eliminate another duff sensor.
