    Re: test day , fail

failed for haveing no steering lock , exhaust not for sound because it comes out of the side , and emissions 3,87%

exhaust and , steering lock will be ok in the UK i think , im not going to sort it out i will just leave it in the garage till im back in the UK

cant think why the exhaust has to come out of the back ???? does it matter really

That's crazy ... side exits are fine over here ... what if your car has a side exit as standard, like the SLR McLaren. I'm sure they don't test the steering lock here either ... it's only a security feature really

    Re: test day

    omg what a cock ,
I asked him why the exhaust must come out the back when other cars have it as standard out the side and he said the exhaust must be original to the car ??

also my ignition must have a key and steering lock as it was original, not with switches and immoboliser like mine and alot of other cars with push button start ??
i asked him why and if it was for security as my wheel is detachable , he said he does not know but everything must be as originaly made ??

so what no mods at all ? he never said anything about the suspension etc etc etc etc etc

there was a guy down there allready with a skyline gobbing off to him about his lights lol .

im gonna rent a garage in the UK i think and keep it their

Testing your own car yourself, is that allowed, would have thought not but who would check anyway.

i thought this , like going down town and getting it done at a normal garage but im not allowed, it has to be done at the bfg testing center as my car is registered with bfg and not with the german authority ???

very confusing also customs wont let me take export it back to the uk now untill it has had a bfg pass without incuring somekind of penalty as i was gonna trailer it to my mums in shrewsbury get a uk mot and leave it there for leave and suff.

sucks ass if you ask me

    Re: test day

I never worried about my sidey when it came to the MOT but I found out recently its not an MOT failure but if you get stopped by a copper and they get a vosa guy to go over it they can insist that you remove the sidey and fit a normal rear exit system, aparantly if your vehicle has a side exit as standard thats fine but aftermarket jobs aren't.

Sounds bollox to me but hey so is the whole government

side exhausts are fine for mot as long as they aint blowing or hanging off!! the police liked stopping my old 5 for the "wrong exhaust"!!they said it needed to b checked by mot tester!so i showed them my mot card and they said fine!!! nothing against the law!!SO WHY STOP ME!!

Is your BFG test centre run by REME VMs and RLC Drivers? If so, you must be able to barter with the old yellow hand bag?

How did you get the scorpion rear exit to clear the filled bumper?

Surely you can just sling the sidey back on after the test
