    My first national day

New poster! (less than 10 posts)

My First national day and track day was briliant my 172 took a pasting, it was nearly all over but thanks to GSF who delivered me out a new fan belt i was soon back out on the track.

    Noise from o,s drive shaft
    Lumpy tick over
    2 bold tyres
Gravel rash on all four wheels
    Shreded fan belt

But taking all this in to account i will be at your next National day and for those of you that where disgusted by my actions with the RTOC key fob you will all be glad to hear that i have rummaged in the bin and found it.

Once again thanks to all for a great day.

My saxo on CHAMPINO (among other terrible budget) tyres managed it at 85mph and with room to spare (darent push it harder as my balls werent big enough ) So im sure its more technique than anything else. a few times i was still on the brake while turning in and it really unsettled the car - maybe possible cause for spin?

Was also my first National Day at Mallory Park too.. had a great time - thanks for the memories guys. Had a great weekend all in all. Track was good, weather was nice, people were good - (music apparently too loud though? lol)

Looking forward to the next one. Whatever car im in im sure i'll have a blast =]

    Thanks again.

Great day out. Met a lot of cool people and caught up with some of the old bellends too. Thanks to Miller and the rest of the committee for organising an excellent day out. I thought you guys did brilliantly.

    Re: My first national day

so it was you with the other 172 cup, missed the spin but i got a round of applause cos everybody thought it was me.

was great fun on track although i got pee'd off a little as someone wouldn't let me past, they were quick on the straight but **** in the bends and i almost reared ended them on every corner and they still wouldn't let me pass. dropped off the pace and let them have a gap the lengh of the back straight got back on it and caught them at the exit of the hairpin again so decieded to come off.

was my first time on track and found over all track behaviour was good, apart from the m3's, pissed my pants when you got black flagged. hope i didn't hold too many people up as i found it easier just to let you past and try and copy your lines.

The car is totaly standard and would benafit with some coilovers to give the advantage on the corners.
