    Hmm, do you reckon you could modify the TDC to pick up a feed or would the blades be too fast/thin?

    I think that might confuse the AEI

    I wondered if you could do this off sound like they judge F1 revs on the TV. Or can you infer it from the air flow it produces?

    only way that immediately springs to mind is put a washer under the compressor wheel nut, that had either notches or is aluminum with ferrous parts machined/pressed into it. then using a small hall effect sensor on that.
