    blocked bleed nipple

one of them bleed nipples on the rear (drum brakes) seem to be blocked
and obviously got to get it out for inspection and cleaning .

am i right thinking there wont be much fluid loss if i wrap
some cling film around the lid of the reservoir ?

As soon as the bleed nipple is loose the fluid will start dribbling out, clamp the flexi hose to minimise it.

Agreed - clamp the flexi hose. I've got a nice plastic brake hose clamp (looks like a pair of pliers with a locking bar between the handles) that won't damage the hose. Once you clamp the hose, you can remove the pipe from piston and only lose a few ccs of fluid.

i have not got special clamping tool ,but i guess a pair of locking
pliers will do the job if i wrap something around the hose to take the
abuse from the teeth of the pliers ,yeah ?
