looking great, my first 5 was a lovely white beauty with pretty fresh paint.. just a shame the rust prep was shocking and it all started to creep through after a year or so..

really temps my to give my 5 a blow over, its pretty solid after all its welding so a paint job with make it last a good few years.. if you get bored pm me a rough cost of the work done as i might get a quote one day..

Well I've got the headlights off of The Ghost. They've only been on there for 1000 miles, ish, and they've been run with protectors on them, so they're as good as new. Now I wasn't going to sell them, however..........

Did you use POR 15 for this? Looks good. I want to repaint the whole underside of my 5 soon and have been looking at Silver POR 15 with a top coat of 'Hardnose' in yellow.

The subframe is just a hole and so is the matting point on the shell you could prob get away with non renault locking nut's, washer's & bolt's matey of a higher tensile.

Note to self... Do in future make sure that you seal the POR 15 can lid.

If you dont jrp you will find it dried up into a rock hard ball in the can next time you come to use some.

Hoe much do people pay on average for powerder coating.. for example a sump, timing chain cover and a few other bits
