    advice needed on 480 conversion

    New poster! (less than 10 posts)

    hi still a newbie and first post, currently fitting a volvo lump into my 5 but not sure wot radiator to use?, which engine mount do i have to modify and how do i do it? also will the standard 5 fuel pump be up to the job on this engine

    Haz will be clued up on the radiator choice better than me since he's tried lots of types for fit, etc.

    Front engine block mount should be the GTX mount and rubber but they are getting rare. You can re-drill the old GTT engine mount (one of the holes already lines up, the top one I think). You have to grind part of the mount away to clear the new bolt head (right hand side I think) and maybe grind the left to clear the bottom water hose where it enters the block.

    The standard GTT pump will not do, you need a bigger EFI pump. Look at any old turbo EFI car that used an external pump, it'll work OK.

    r5 diesel front engine block mount also works. you'll need both parts - bracket and mount, as the bolt spacing is wider than the other mount choices.
