    boost pressure

    i swapped my gauges over and went from carb top to manifold for the reading, it boosted to 1.1 at the top and its reading 0.6 bar at the bottom is this right? thats a lot to loose is it not in the transition?

    check that your getting full throttle.

    with the engine off get someone to press the throttle fully in the car, then in the engine bay you want to make sure that the linkage on the back of the carb is definatly going over all the way. If you can push the linkage further then the cable is too slack and your not getting full throttle.

    Imagine that if your only getting 3/4 throttle then there will be a big pressure loss over the carb.

    well that might be a top shout as i think my throttle linkage is getting stuck at the lower end, as revs fail to drop and are opftern erratic but if i press on the lever it goes a little further down and revs are all good, will investigate tommorrow.
