    renix numbers

    when lookin at me mates car last sat, os8472 spotted that it had a 204 instead of the 208 or 209 on it... is this even a turbo one? it was on a D reg ph1

    was thinkin about this 20mins ago, had a look through both my mk1 and 2 R5 haynes and couldn't find any reference to it

    spot on sonic! was from a non turbo...

    would running say, 14psi on a 204 cause a head gasket in 200 miles lol

    Damn I'm good

    If the 204 is off a NA engine I imagine the ignition map will be alot more advanced than a turbo map and that could cause det so in theory yeah it could've killed the HG

    it pitted the head on cyl 1, it was pumping exhaust gas thru the cooling system as hard as when i cracked a liner lol.

    fire ring was ok on h/g but it had eaten it way around it lol

    not yet, had head off from start to finish in under 30mins, then took lee the same again to take off fanimoulds and water pump lol.

    its getting a skim at steves work on sun then back together in the afternoon hangover permitting lol
