    machining PTFE/Delrin/Nylon?

on the r5gordini.co.uk forum, you can purchase new rear trailing arm bushes for £300, thats 4 bushes and a metal bracket, from france.

how difficult would it be to produce something out of PTFE/Nylon?

The main issue will be getting the right sort of fit and flex between the plastic and the metal sleeves I would think .

I bought some nylatron years ago from RS to use as bushes, never got around to it. Get it right and it machines lovely.... looks like they only stock this stuff now:

in various diameters. I'm not sure how it compares to the stuff I bought.
