    And so it begins

    got up this morning and the sun was shining so got to and took the cover off my 11 and ripped the bonnet off and removed the engine and box


    as it stands at the moment the old engine is out and stripped down and the new engine and the origonal box are made together with a new clutch let just hope the engine is good as not hurd it running yet :S

    will get some pics up ovcer the coming week

    plan is to sort out the spagetti that is the wiring loom and tidy up the engine bay al be it just a lick of paint and a wash

    lo all engines in and running all be it i need to sort out the cooling system as have fitted a 5 rad am i right in sayin the 5's colling system was the same as the 21's i.e the header was situated on the bulk head on the passenger side and it fed the water system thru the heater matrix hoses ??????????? i think this is right have posted up in the wanted section for the above as i have the top and bottom rad hoses for the 5 and there is no take off to feed from the header tank ?????

    new lumps in and running after a bit of playing around getting the clutch right and the water works run as have converted to a 5 rad but have managed to keep pretty much the 11 water set up with a few minor mods
    (cheers to roj for the boxes of bits and your help)
    have tidied up the wiring loom that was spagetti junction



    took her out on the road today and she flies

    285 cam and 1 bar of boost = phze 1 in white on steroids

    gonna get her back on the RR over the next few weeks to get her fine tuned and see wot she's producing now compared to with the old lump

    having not driven the old girl for a few months i had a smile on my face when i pulled up at the lights locally today and mr fellow motorist wound down his window and said

    "m8 wot the **** is that it goes like stink"

    ok so he was in 1.1 fiesta LMFAO ( nahhh he was in a bmw 318 i)

    lovin the sleeper factor

    so whens the next local south east meet then

    ermmm no m8 don't need to as long as the fueling is there which it is now and the turbo is man enough which it is it's al good lol

    now running 17psi and 150 main can't remeber what we set the air at :P

    but the old girl goes like sh** off a stick now
    will be gettin her back on the rollers in the next couple of weeks to get a print out

    now for the paint work
