    piston liners

how much of a shoulder is to much to salvage a liner,
or can they be honed out an use a larger diameter ring?

    Re: piston liners

You could messure them either with a 3 way bore mic or drop a ring in and messure gaps... You can de glaze them with a self honing tool to help clean them up... If you start re boring the liners will just get to thin and i dont think oversize pistons are available... could be wrong.. but at least you could make the perfect P2W clearance to match your build.

the particular pistons an liners i have are just spares an was just going
to see if they are re-workable,the self honing tool i have seen,it has a
setting so you dont over work the liner right?

I have never come across liners to worn not to be reused.
