    285mm cam

    im thinking about getting a 285mm cam, and im guessing its a good idea 2 uprate valve springs but is there anything else i need to uprate/ change?

    Just had mine done, New Gasket set, uprated head bolts, uprate the valve springs and away you go! didnt change followers

    Although if u can change it without taking engine out then just springs?

    kool, cuz i wanna do it but she should be ready sooner than i thort tbh probably end of march mid april.. so i wanna get it cammed n out zooming round

    Uprated springs are must with 285 cam. Change vernier pulley too

    as above. you need to change to the piper valve springs,i flowed my head the other day and the standard spring were fully compressed at 8.5mm lift. the piper spring were fully compressed at 10.8mm, so they're a must.

    that and the vernier... probably make things easier when fitting and tuning etc

    just using the standard t2 mate, sorry i havent postedd until now but i havent been able to get to a computer all week

    285 will be **** with a T2 mate, you need a bigger turbo i.e T25 to get any real benefit from a 285 cam
