    CGB Motorsport......AMAZIN!

CGB Motorsport are life savers, I found a complete Raider interior. Front seats, rear seats, door cards and the carpet. For the whole interior I was 400.

    I also bought a

    Raider parcel shelf - 70
    clear indicators - 17
T3/T28 Garrett turbo - 500 (so the turbo technics hybrid is goin back)
    Raider door badges - 50
    Mocal oil cooler - 70
    Forge FMIC - 360

So am a VERY happy chappy now

Could have purchased this whole car for that price and it has the raider interior with it.

Want to buy a spare parcel shelf for £70

Is the interior brand new? Because thats crazy money. Turbo brand new?

A lot of difference, you will be waiting around for that T28/T3 to spool up, and when it does you will have a kick for about 1k revs then you would have to change gear. Have you got the rest of the engine to suit a larger turbo. What boost will you be running. You just using it for drag use. T25 are known for a great all round turbo and is the preferred choice on this site for all round use

So the turbo technics T25 hybrid would b a better choice then??? And as for internals, am gona get a rebuild from Precision engine service by me and get it speced up for more power, am only lookin at gettin about 200bhp.

Am thinkin by ur comments the T28 was a bad idea al see if he will refund the bank and keep it!!!

Mate, it seems like you've got more money than sense!

As you say, lesson learned - there's more than enough knowledge on these boards. As for 'tuners' - just be warned that what you buy isnt always 'what you get'. They wont think twice to sell you something thats completely unsuitable for your engine to make a quick buck. Again, if you're in doubt, do a board search or ask on here directly and you'll get the best advice guaranteed.

To add, I had a turbo not dis-similar to that on one of my old 5's. The only thing it was good for was economy on my daily commute down the M1. it didnt even think about spooling til 3.5k+ and by the time it was on full chat it was time to change gear. Totally unsuitable for track/spirited country road driving.

Im still trying to work out costs of the interior and how got 400 for the lot

    Drivers seat - £87.50
    Passenger seat - £87.50
    Rear seats - £65
    Carpet - £100
    Door cards - £60

Whatever I change they are just crazy money for them. I could sell you my whole raider for that price and you will have a spare seat. a spare parcel shelf. And raider alloys.

    Is the FMIC brand new??

I bought a Raider front seat, mint, for £10, and a black carpet for the same price. I was offered the rear bench for free, but I had no use for it so it would have, and did, end up in the bin

    Re: CGB Motorsport......AMAZIN!

to be honest, if you are happy, then that is what counts.
you looked for a month for a raider interior with no results. - so you go out and buy one. its a simple case of supply and demand.

you will find that alot of people on this site, will lambast you for spending that amount of money on an interior, that they could have sold you for half the price...however, if you came on here asking for a raider interior i reckon there would have been a 95% chance that no one would have had one for sale. - the only reason it is now, is due to the wonga you've just spent on it.

as for the t28, fit it and enjoy it. it will require you to change your driving style to get the best from it, but for ultimate power thats what you need to do. the smaller t25 type turbos are good for back lanes and twisty roads, it depends on what type of driving you do.

I bought a Raider front seat, mint, for £10, and a black carpet for the same price. I was offered the rear bench for free, but I had no use for it so it would have, and did, end up in the bin

And at Bob selling a second hand turbo for £500, but he doesn't even know what it is
Well I couldnt find a raider interior anywhere!

As has been said, as long as you're happy, and you've got what you're after, that's the main thing. I think Sparkie has summed it up pretty well in the post above.

you looked for a month for a raider interior with no results.

Thanks Sparkie, it was the case with the interior, I searched for ages and couldnt find it, I was gettin offered rear benches and a door card, but I was wanting a complete set of mint seats, and well av found some so am happy!!

As for the T28, where I stay its all twisty back roads, I live in the sticks so am gona go with the guys thoughts and stick with my T25 hybrid

    Thanks for the info

I was putting that comment to Bill. I prefer working on a budget. Spent too much on one car and trying to do the opposite on another. Makes it more interesting trying to source parts for a raider.
