    spal 12 inch fan

My 12 inch spal fan packed up this afternoon , im looking for a new one at a resonable price , has to be a spal so it mounts to the rad i had made but the only place i have found at the moment is proalloy and there is no way im paying 15 quid postage for a 12 inch fan that is daylight robbery i feel.

can anyone point the way to a suplier of these that wont try and charge a 1/4 of the price of the product extra just to deliver?

    much thanks

    ross

In relation to price im not that bothered about proalloys 70 quid its just the delivery charge on top i cant stand , the problem i have with any other companies fan is my radiator had a frame on the back of it in alloy to take the spal fixing points , these differ from brand to brand so im not sure wether they would fit or not, demon only do pacet and kenlowe i did think they originally did spal but no such luck. richie ill email the ebay seller for measurements from fixing hole to fixing hole thanks

Fan motor is draining a lot less electricity and there isn't any more "shaking" on the lights when fan kicks in. Also, it is a lot easier to get your hands around oil filter but just in case where oil cooler isn't fitted. Air flow capacity is also much better so fan works less to take the temperatures down. I have it and it is a good investment.

Do k-tec still do them? but if they do their delivery costs are highway robbery as well.

Don't know about K-tec... Think not... I got mine from Carrera CDH with Merkey B help. Got the whole kit with nice shiny brackets. Fitting was over in 10 minutes. Price was fair too

Part number for fan motor is unavailable

    Clio 1 is the same...

    Blades: 77 00 653 324
    Motor: 77 00 828 623

dgdogz: mine kit was around 90 quids if I recall correctly. With shipping to Croatia.
