    Help with V6

    Ohhhh dear Ohhhhh dear in need of a few items. Iam aware that some of you work for car spares places like gsf and the like.

    Can anybody get me as cheap as poss some decent brake discs front and back and also pads?

    Also 2 rear track rod ends left and right.

    And standard air filter for a ph1

    sombody must be able to help

    Try the RAOC site .There are a few V6 owners on that .I assume you mean a lardy Clio V6

    The cost of discs alone would have put me off

    dont try the QH discs most motor spares shops will sell you, they dont fit and its a mistake in the QH catalogue.
    Cheapest I have found is from scot at SG motors

    I did my research timmeh!!

    just priced some up via ktec came out to 618 quid for front and rear disks.

    then pads are 160 for front and back.

    while iam at it braided brake lines for 56 quid for 4...

    bugger me and im off work again hahahahah best part of a grand whooop whooop

    There are cheaper alternative's for rear pads Jrp. Col (the master) posted a thread about it on the old forum, fire him a pm.

    "this post is for those that that wonna save about £200

    ive just replaced rear pads on a clio v6 ph2 and was shocked when renault told me the price of the OE pads. £226 plus vat you could imagine my reaction

    after alot of sorcing and phone calls . i have managed to find an alternative brake pad .

    the pads are from the front brakes of a citreon xm
    the gsf part number . is N64027 they come in at about £26 and are only very slightly different

    to modify so that they fit propperly . about 2mm needs to be reduced from the outer edge of the friction material"
