Steering rack / Garage services

Good morning all and hope someone can help me.

Does anyone have any idea what steering rack is fitted to a Renault 5 Turbo 1, is it a standard Renault 5 one or did they raid a parts bin from another model. Any help / advice appreciated.

Also is Paul Sage still active with these cars, he did some work on my car a few years back, then he moved from South London into Kent (I think) but he appears to be off grid since.

Hi David,

I think the R5 Turbo alpine (the LHD Gordini) is the same. On my Turbo2, I have the "MAXI5" (replica I think) fitted on and both racks appeared to have been shorten (weld trace), as each wheel hubs got a different shape for Tour de Corse and Maxi5.
