    James5 Red Phase 2, 29k 3 owners

Suppose I should do a small project thread on my purchase a couple of months ago. It's a Phase 2 GTT that has covered just over 29k, I am the 4th owner it has not seen the road since April 1997,

Basically I have known of this car for a few years and tried a couple of times to buy it, by no means is it perfect as it hasn't' been stored inside but been a mixture of outside and indoor's. Thankfully the last owner done 95% of the welding so it's a good solid shell, I picked it up as a rolling shell as over the years it had been scavenged for part's. Thankfully I had a fair few spares kicking around, I got the engine with the car in bit's so a rebuild, new clutch, rebuilt carb etc... I had to do.

    Anyway a couple of pic's

Video of its first engine startup since 1997 (I clearly done the priming and fuel to carb prior to this)

The car is solid other than the paintwork being very faded this is a good car and possibly one for an enthusiast to complete, I have done what I wanted to do which is get it all up and running and pretty much road legal, just need's MOT which I am about to.

But this will be up for sale very soon,

    Bad points

2" hole under drivers side rear quarter glass,
3 x spots of buble rust on tailgate,
2 x small dings on the roof
But I am selling the car advising it needs a respray,

windscreen needs replacement has crack on passenger side but will pass MOT with as not in driver view,
It will also not come with the turbines but std speedlines but they all need tyre replacement as they are over 20yrs old and show signs of that

Looking for £4.1k for the car which is a little more than it owes me to cover my labour really

Looks like a good honest car. When are you putting it up for sale? As I may know someone interested.

Cheers Matt, yeah its very honest car would make a good one for someone to make 100% OE. It's pretty much ready now, I just need to MOT it and I am not worried about that as I can't see anything that it would fail. Whomever buys it will need to trailor it away or bring alloys with legal tyres on to drive it away

Evening Goobie, yeah have a workshop I share with a mate although we maybe loosing it due to costs as we only use it for hobbies and not a business. May have to do a few small private jobs to keep it going on the side around the everyday jobs we have.

That's a shame, looks like a good set up in that unit from the pictures, fingers crossed for you.
